Job Description:
Serve as technical lead on key accounts. Define and develop solutions to satisfy customer needs, including consulting and project definition with regards to technology stack, database design, web services, cloud-driven infrastructure, and overall information assurance needs. Assist clients to identify online opportunities, define project goals, write project specifications and documentation. Provide training and customer support on deployed applications. Develop and apply milestones, metrics and test procedures to projects in development. Assign and manage development resources to meet project goals within budget and schedule. Lead the development team in all aspects of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) for the Teneleven web development platform. Mentor junior team members in the theory and practice of the Symfony framework and specifically the TenEleven platform. Evaluate and implement best-in-class software concepts, solutions and practices that support and strengthen TenEleven's position as leading provider of advanced, custom-developed online solutions, at present and into the future.
Minimum requirements:
Master’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business or related field and 2 years of programming experience using web technologies including PHP5, MySQL, Apache, Linux. Pre or post Master’s degree experience is acceptable.
Experience to include:
- Modern Web Technologies (Apache, PHP5, Javascript, jQuery, XML, WSDL, SOAP, REST, Ajax)
- OOP (Object Oriented Programming) Practices
- Knowledge of Enterprise Design Patterns
- MVC (Model View Controller) Web Frameworks (Symfony1 + Symfony2, Zend)
- Relational & Document (NoSQL) Databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
- Database Abstraction Layers (Propel + Doctrine1+2)
- Knowledge of Agile & Test-Driven Development Methodologies
- E-Commerce related Integrations (Authorize.Net, PayPal, UPS, Tax Services)
- General Third-Party Integrations (Salesforce, ExactTarget)
- Search Engines (Apache Solr, Lucene)
- Experience installing & maintaining LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
- online and live presentations to groups
- generating proposals and quotes for projects
- Generating project deliverables including ERD’s (Entity-Relationship Diagrams), specification documents, functional requirements, site-maps, and wireframes
- Experience guiding web projects from inception to launch, including platform and vendor selection
- Experience managing complex web projects of all budget and schedule requirements
- Experience managing development teams and directing communication amongst project stakeholders
