2011 starting off with great planning

I can't remember a time when we had such a great client roster with such interesting projects. In the 2011 planning meetings with our clients, I couldn't be more impressed with how smart, well-formed and budgetarily sound our discussions have been. Looking back it's hard not to appreciate what clients have had to deal with these last 15 years - the dotcom era and how does a brand survive / thrive online, the technology years and the quest for a CMS nirvana, the great recession, and most recently trying to figure how to participate in social media.

For 2011, however, there doesn't appear to be a major paralyzing issue. We are discussing branding, promotions, sales / lead generation and execution. Not only is it a lot more pleasant to work in an environment like this, but you can't help but sense how much more at ease everyone is. I think we always did a good job of consulting and making clients comfortable with new web stuff and technology, but the type of productive collaboration I've been experiencing these last few months is way more rewarding.
